madeleine-claude-1A word from Madeleine…

“I’ve always been completely in awe and fascinated by us, human beings, how complex, layered and “grey” we are. I always seek to learn more about our psyches, our behaviours, our choices, my endless curiosity is at its peak when it comes to trying to understand the mankind. I think that’s what drove me to choose acting as a career. Being a performing artist gives me the possibility to not only learn and explore the realm of being human, but to also experience it, communicate it and share it with others. Actors, being the bridge between the writer and an audience, have a tremendous responsibility; tell the truth, bring a real person to life and deliver the message behind the writer’s work. For me, that responsibility is a thrill and an honour. I’m also addicted to the freedom I experience when I act, to the limitless learning and growing it brings about. Working in a field where reinventing yourself, pushing your own limits and being endlessly creative is a must is a dream for someone like me . I’ve always thought of myself as a sponge; I take everything in, what I see, what I hear, what I smell, I feel and sense a lot. The littlest things bring in me the biggest emotions and most importantly, I care enormously about us, people. I care about what we have to say, what we do and why, how we feel, what makes us laugh or cry, everything. I have found a way to transmit the beauty of being human, it is by being an actor, a performing artist. I couldn’t agree more with what Larry Moss once said: “It takes the artists to show the world how good we can be.”
